It started with a desire I'd always had…. to learn to skate. And one day it got too strong to ignore. I followed the impulse and reached out to a local board shaper in Vietnam. The next day, I was in his shop, choosing the wood and deciding on a design.

I wanted to preserve the raw look of the grain, and let its natural shapes guide the lines of flow I painted over it.

Three days after that first desire, I was already practicing on the board I painted.
